Triple Win at the Best Daycare Taska and Academy Awards !

Three Years of Awards: Celebrating Trilingual Learning in Damansara Utama

Three consecutive years. Three awards. One shared commitment: helping children learn, grow and thrive.

At Learning Steps Academy, also known as Taska Damansara Utama, we are proud to have received awards in the categories we entered over the past three consecutive years, recognising our dedication to excellence in education and childcare.

We are especially delighted to celebrate our recognition as Best Trilingual Learning Educational Centre!

For our teachers and families, this recognition means more than a trophy. It celebrates the patient guidance, encouragement and everyday care that help children take their next steps with confidence.

Preparing Children for Chinese Primary School

Choosing a preschool is an important decision—especially when you are preparing your child for a Chinese primary school, or SJKC.

Our trilingual learning programme in Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya, brings together Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia, alongside foundations in mathematics and science. We welcome children from different language backgrounds and help them build the skills they need for their school journey.

When do the kids need to learn the Multiplication tables? How?

Image
Though at Taska Damansara Utama there is no dire need to learn the tables, however as we have a. Primary and kindly program at the Learning Steps Academy,  This is a battle we fight and are asked about all the time.  The straight answer is….. as soon as they can. It can be as early as six or as old as nine years old.   To only start learning the tables at standard 3 or 9 years old is already somewhat late. As standard 2 curriculum in Malaysia already requires Times Table and preliminary division in the later part of Std 2.  Hence we can derive from here that only starting to learn the complete tables only when you 9 or Std 3 is going to be a game of never ending catch up.  You can sing it, chant it and play math games. Recite it in the car together on the way to Jaya Grocer,  have a quick quiz during a long haul drive to the hometown. Reward success and encourage their efforts. But being too lenient, delaying the learning until it is too late will hurt thei...

My Graduation Day In Primary School

Image
      #     Its already the end of my primary school, and I had my graduation last Friday.     My friends and I kept laughing and crying during the graduation. At the start of the graduation, my friends and I were standing behind the stage to get our diplomas. Everyone was as nervous as if we were going on a roller coaster. Afterwards, we sang our farewell songs and everyone's   eyes  were full of tears as we sang on the stage. To lighten up the mood, the dancer in our school performed a beautiful and elegant dance. There were also musical instrument performances that everyone enjoyed. After all the performance ended, everyone had puffy eyes for all the crying we did. Then, we all gathered together and took our last photos. After the graduation, I said my last words to my beloved  teachers   and     fri ends  and  appreciate our very last memories together. It was a very heart bre aking moment for me to say goodb...
