Kneel, hug, kiss and …. Wave.




At Taska Damansara Utama. We have seen it all , pretty much. Drop offs we mean :) 


Parents must never forget to repeat the same. It costs you nothing, and  the littles are literally powered by your love. All those little things add to their confidence in taking on the day, in facing the trials and tribulations of learning, in fending off bullies at daycare…heaven forbid. 






But these actions you do as you bid your little princess or prince goodbye…..  forms an invisible shield.  Once endowed with these they walk off with a little skip and sunshine literally shines from their little hearts. 



I have spent a life time greeting kids and parents at the door. I am an expert at seeing what works by now. So kneel… and look them in their eyes, hug and hold them close as you tell them you love them and will come bring them home later and to have the best day…..kiss because they can’t shrug u off yet haha….  But last and not least is …. Wave. 


Why? …just because if they are looking out at you from inside the daycare they wanna have one last affirmation that the one who loves them is as torn about being apart from  their littles….as your little will miss you so when you are off at work.


It all costs nothing butI have seen how much it means to the kids.  Please …..remember it. Get low, gaze into their eyes and speak to them…and you will see your kid so much closer then ever before. 



This is mostly for daddies….mommies mies have this down…. But daddies so need a hand as men r taught too often to hide their affection…. As if that could make anything stronger.

This month we bid farewell to our Anna. she leaves us as she begins to enter the International School system starting in the fall. We have had her since she was just a wee toddler and now 4 years have gone by. She stole our hearts just as sure her older brother. Both of them showed and started at Taska Damansara Utama as wee toddlers. Thet joined the  Elite Kids  Kinderhgarten program at PjKK Learning Steps Academy and the rest was history. She speaks Bahasa and Mandarin like a native as well as Malaysian Engrush haha.   We will never get enough of her  and her brother.  They have won their way unto our hearts forever.   The parents are both great teachers as well and have raised outstanding lovely children. We do it together and it takes a village to raise a child. The USS Learning finally sails into Damansara Utama !

 Our new sails are here and we are super excited!  These sails will allow.play time in  the mornings and even in the noon hours which can be challenging. Sleepy Baby? When and how much sleep? You need to know this parents. Hear us out.

  Often times,     we get this same ole question.     it’s one of those questions that I believe most parents already know the answer to, but they are almost afraid to confirm it as it involves some feelings of guilt haha.   That question is….. How many hours should their kid or kids sleep and what time should the littles get to bed. They are almost always sheepish when they bring up this subject and I think we all know why.  My answer here may differ from many Internet articles but it is entirely based on my observation of our kids at the daycare. The amount of sleep your child needs is a simple question actually. The recommended hours are between 10 to 12 hours a night.    But the reasons why the parents are asking are never simple.
